This page features memories from the Fashion Flashbacks multimedia
lecture and fashion show. This hour long program featured a year
by year overview of fashion from 1960-1979 while examining the
social forces affecting the designs.
We held our event in the art and lecture room at the San Mateo
Public Library on June 23, 1997. Highlights included a slide show,
nostalgic music, and six of our volunteer models in several changes
of full retro costume. Many thanks to the Philanthropic Ventures
Foundation in Oakland, California for funding this event, which
was free and open to the public. We are planning other fashion
shows, sign our mailing list to attend them or join in the production.
We will be adding QuickTime movies shortly. Please check
again and look at some clothes.
